Challenge

Interactive Black (iBlack) was a newly formed organization with no digital presence or internal IT structure.

Highlights

  • Designed and built branded web properties
  • Developed internal social media membership portal
  • Created an e-commerce solution to manage ticket sales
  • Utilized social media marketing to increase awareness
  • Installed internal IT structure

Background

iBlack was a new for-profit networking organization hosting numerous monthly events. The organization had no internet presence and little public awareness.

Objective

Develop a web presence for the iBlack and implement internet marketing techniques to enhance public awareness, increase event attendance, grow online involvement with their social networking properties, and boost business advertising revenue.

Solution

We developed an online presence and marketing campaign to drive consumers to their programs and web properties. We placed iBlack on several social networks including Facebook, Twitter, Meetup, and LinkedIn. The team also created company branded profiles to increase consumer awareness and engagement.

We developed content and an automated delivery system to drip feed continuous content to iBlack followers on the various social networks. The content system’s purpose was to increase followers and engagement.

Next, our team developed a company website that was deeply integrated into the social networking platform.  Public events posted to the company blog were simultaneously posted to Eventbrite, an event management and ticketing site with social sharing aspects, and on 40 plus social networks including Facebook and Twitter.

Later our team created an internal social media membership portal with an e-commerce ticketing solution which allowed iBlack to manage ticket sales, attendee management, notifications, and saved them $1000s of dollars in monthly fees charged by ticketing platforms like Eventbrite.

Subsequently, we installed a self-hosted email management system which allowed iBlack to manage their mailing list of over 20,000 people, including broadcasting, autoresponders, segmentation and split testing.

We assisted in the promotion of company events by posting them on numerous event listing sites including Eventful, Upcoming, Going and Craigslist as well as bookmarking the listing on multiple social sharing sites like Delicious, Digg, Reddit, and StumbleUpon.

Results

As a result of this campaign, the iBlack experienced a significant increase in public awareness and site visits. The iBlack website consistently receives close to 1,500 unique visitors each month.  They have thousands of views via their social networking sites and have close to 2,000 followers on Facebook, Meetup, and Twitter.

In addition, iBlack received a 250% increase in admission and business advertising revenue due to the increased internet and public presence.

From The Client

“These guys are marketing and IT Jedis. They redesigned our website which received glowing approval from our members. But more importantly they developed an inhouse ticketing system so can manage your event ticketing and attendance. It saved use thousands of dollars in ticket fees which means more money for us! They also developed our own membership portal which is like our own private Facebook for members to connect with each other. We are very happy with their work and highly recommend them to others.”
