North Carolina Music Hall Of Fame
We developed an online presence and marketing campaign to create awareness of the North Carolina Music Hall Of Fame (NCMHOF) and its programs.
Highlights:
- Designed and built branded web properties
- Utilized social media marketing to increase NCMHOF awareness
- Dramatically increased visits from the public
Background:
The North Carolina Music Hall Of Fame was relaunching after a dormant period of several years. The organization had no internet presence and little public awareness.
Objective:
Develop a web presence for the NCMHOF and implement internet marketing techniques to increase public awareness, drive visits, and help build standing with the public.
Solution:
Our team tackled the task in 2 phases. First, we worked with the NCMHOF to develop a 61 page robust website. The site highlights Hall of Fame inductees like James Taylor, Thelonius Monk, Randy Travis, John Coltrane and Roberta Flack but also describes the NCMHOF history, induction process, press coverage, and other details.
Second, we implemented an extensive social media marketing campaign to promote the NCMHOF and its website. The social media campaign included distribution of 21 videos with voiceovers to various video sharing sites, branded Facebook Fanpage, numerous photos posted on Flicker, automatic updates posted to Twitter. The social media package was easily available to the public via a social media bar conveniently place at the foot of the NCMHOF website.
Results:
As a result of this campaign the NCMHOF experienced a significant increase in public awareness and site visits. The NCMHOF website consistently receives close to 2,000 unique visitors each month and their social network sites have reached several thousand people. In addition, the NCMHOF has approximately 400 monthly walk-in visitors per the Charlotte Observer Newspaper.
